About Design of Atlanta Braves Pour Larry A Crown T Shirt
This t-shirt is inspired by a memorable call made by Jeff Francoeur, a former Atlanta Braves player, and current broadcaster, during a game against the New York Mets on June 9, 2023.
Francoeur shouted, “Pour Larry a Crown!” after Ozzie Albies hit a walk-off home run to give the Braves a 3-2 win and a series sweep. Larry is the first name of Chipper Jones, another former Braves player and Hall of Famer, who was in the broadcast booth with Francoeur and is known to enjoy Crown Royal, a brand of Canadian whisky.
The t-shirt is a way of celebrating the Braves’ victory and honoring Jones’ legacy. The text on the t-shirt also includes the date and score of the game, as well as the phrase “For the Atlanta Baseball,” which refers to the Braves’ slogan “For the A.” The crown symbolizes the whisky and the team’s dominance in the National League East division.
