Recently, the case gained renewed attention as Turtleboy, a local blogger who initiated the “Free Karen Read” campaign on social media to seek justice for Read, was arrested by the State Police on October 11 for witness intimidation and conspiracy related to the case. While escorted to the Stoughton District Court, Turtleboy wore a sweatshirt with the “Free Karen Read” slogan, drawing attention from the Karen Read supporters’ community.
