About Love For Lahaina T Shirt

This shirt gained significant recognition when it was worn by actor Dwayne Johnson and media mogul Oprah Gail Winfrey during an announcement. In the video, they revealed the establishment of the “People’s Fund of Maui” to support and aid the Hawaiian islands, particularly in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that occurred in August. The initial funding for the fund was $10 million, contributed by Dwayne Johnson and Oprah Gail Winfrey themselves.

Oprah Gail Winfrey stated that she personally met with the victims to inquire about their needs, and the overwhelming response was the immediate requirement for financial assistance. Consequently, the fund has provided direct monetary support to those affected.

In the immediate term, the fund is collaborating with local authorities to provide direct cash assistance to individuals who have been directly impacted and had to relocate, especially the elderly and young children.

According to the fund’s announcement, every resident over 18 years of age directly affected by the wildfire and forced to evacuate Lahaina and Kula areas will receive a monthly stipend of $1,200 during this period.
