In the footage, other white men from the boating group were purportedly attacking the Black dockworker. As the incident unfolded, other Black individuals appeared to protect the isolated dockworker. At least one Black man was seen jumping from the river’s boat into the water.

The altercation began around 7 p.m. on that Saturday evening, culminating in individuals being thrown into the river, people being hit with folding chairs, and some being handcuffed.
